The John Dempsey Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has a comprehensive program for transport of newborn babies. A trained transport team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Any area hospital or health care provider can seek the assistance of the transport team. Sick newborn babies are stabilized by the team on-site and then transported to the tertiary care facility. A transport vehicle with the latest technology is available to transport babies.
